Mercedes-Benz India clocked one of its best quarter ever, against the backdrop of multiple challenges.
The company sold 4022 units in Q1 2022 registering a growth of 26% compared to same period last year.
Following are some key highlights of the sales performance in Q1 2022:
- At 4022 units Q1 2022 sales performance is one of Mercedes-Benz’s best ever quarter
- Mercedes-Benz India now has an order bank of 4000+ units- highest ever in its history in India
- Very high demand for the SUVs and sedan portfolio
- E-Class LWB remained the highest selling model followed by the GLC SUV
- The ICOTY ‘Luxury Car of the Year’, the New S-Class, continued its success run in the Indian market since its debut in 2021
- Very high demand for GLE and GLS SUV
- AMG & Super Luxury Car segment grew by 35%
- Mercedes-Benz is striving to reduce the waiting period of most of its models which are under waiting period
- The sales record comes against the backdrop of global supply challenges, semi-conductor shortage and rising input costs
- Action packed Q2 with new launches planned
- Second successful quarter of ROTF implementation
